LOVE, SIMON screens at Courtyard Cinema at Ward Village on October 11

By HIFF | October 04, 2018

In honor of Hawai’i Pride Month, HIFF is excited to screen one of the funniest and heartwarming teen romantic dramedies of the year, LOVE, SIMON for this month’s Courtyard Cinema at Ward Village. With a 92% Rotten Tomatoes score, the film has been praised asa film that “hits its coming-of-age beats more deftly than many entries in this well-traveled genre -- and represents an overdue milestone of inclusion.”

Synopsis: Everyone deserves a great love story, but for 17-year-old Simon Spier, it's a little more complicated. He hasn't told his family or friends that he's gay, and he doesn't know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he's fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.
