Hawaii International Film Festival, Showdown in Chinatown and the Chinatown Film Project present a challenge to local filmmakers: to create an original short film 5-7 minutes in length that addresses the question, "How do you see Honolulu's Chinatown?". All entries are welcome, films are due September 18th.
At the September 19th Showdown in Chinatown event, 12 films will be screened and judged live on the big screen at NextDoor. The first place winner of the contest will win a cash prize, have their film featured on the Chinatown Film Project webpage, have their film featured and screened at the October 23rd HIFF event, and get delegate status at HIFF.
