HIFF Tuesday Night Screenings

Remember, Tuesday Night is LA PETITE LILI at the Signature Dole Cannery 18 Theatres! Catch this exclusive screening courtesy of HIFF TUESDAY NIGHT SCREENINGS!

LA PETITE LILI
September 28, 2004
France, 2003, French with English subtitles
Directed by Claude Miller

Mado, a famous actress, is spending her summer vacation in her country home in Brittany with her brother Simon, her son Julien, who wants to become a filmmaker, and Brice, her present lover, who is the director of her most recent films. Things are very stormy between Julien and his mother. Ludivine Sagnier (Swimming Pool) stars as Lili, the love and muse of Julien. At odds with the serenity of the breathtaking French countryside, Julien rebels against his mother and her guests, while multiple intrigues of lust and power play out behind the scenes. From LA PETITE LILI’S opening moments, one of the steamiest sexual encounters in film, director Claude Miller’s modern adaptation of Chekov’s The Seagull envelops the viewer with its lush visuals while the layers of distinction between art and memory are shed.

“Claude Miller's ‘La petite Lili’ will find a warm welcome among upscale viewers attuned to the finer things of life.”
