Wednesday night at the festival

BLOCKBUSTER Audience Award winning directors Kaliko Palmiera (Best Documentary,STEVE MAI'I') and Jennifer Akana Sturla (Best Short, KAMEA) pose with fest topper Chuck Boller! The Blockbuster Audience Award Winning Films, including Best Feature, GETTIN' SQUARE, will screen at the Dole Cannery on October 31 at 7:45 p.m.

 

 

Jo Plomely and Nic Testoni, conscript and producers of the Golden Maile winning Documentary, MR PATTERNS. The filmmakers are now off to New York City for the Margaret Mead Film Festival. Catch MR PATTERNS along with AND THEREAFTER (which received a special mention) on October 31 at 7:15 p.m.
Maggie Cheung and David Wenham announce that the Golden Maile for Best Feature Film goes to Katsuhito Ishii for TASTE OF TEA. We've added a second screening of the film this Sunday, October 31 at 9:00 p.m., immediately after the 6:00 p.m. screening at the Doris Duke. Ishii san will be present for both shows!
