LAYER CAKE: "My aspiration was to make HEAT, but set in Britain."

Tyro helmer Matthew Vaughn knows a thing or two about Brit gangster films. He was the producer behind Guy Ritchie's (a.k.a. Mr. Madonna) seminal LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS and SNATCH. In LAYER CAKE, Vaughn has taken the genre to a new level, crafting a suspenseful, hilarious and brilliant crime drama...and extracting a star-making performance from actor Daniel Craig (a.k.a., the Brit Steve McQueen). The film is so accomplished, 20th Century Fox recently hired the director to helm the next X-MEN movie! Stop salivating fanboys; in the meantime, enjoy this great BBC interview with the director and how he came about with the inception and execution of this film.

LOST IN TIME: Starring Hong Kong Starlet Cecilia Cheung!

Come see Hong Kong ingenue Cecilia Cheung in LOST IN TIME. Her captivating and emotional performance of a young widow trying to make ends meet for her and her young son garnered Cheung the Best Actress prize at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

From her '99 debut in Stephen Chow's KING OF COMEDY, Cheung has gone from pop idol discovery to accomplished actress. Derek Yee, director of LOST IN TIME, likens her to a student who can succeed in exams without studying. "What she has is inherent talent mixed with skills. She can delivery emotions very effectively."

Read more of Yee's praises, as well as Cheung's history in the China Daily!
