Each year, the Hawaii International Film Festival relies on your generosity to help provide the funds necessary to maintain:

• The ability to continue seeking out new and exciting films and securing them for Hawaii. This lengthy and crucial process involves working with filmmakers, distributors, and thousands of film submissions.
• The capability to invite filmmakers and industry film professionals (like Mira Nair, Quentin Tarantino, Susan Sontag, Toni Colette, Victor Banerjee and Peter Pau) to film screenings, seminars, and Q & A sessions.
• Other important elements that make HIFF possible – film technicians, technical production, proper projection of films, educational programs, and countless other technical elements that make up the framework of HIFF.

With community generosity and support, we are grateful for the ability to nurture creativity and artistic endeavors toward cultural understanding among peoples of Asia, the Pacific, and North America through film.

• Enhance the Student Showcase to strengthen critical viewing skills and multi-cultural understanding among students through film.
• Continue and expand the number of educational seminars with film industry people including directors, cast and crew of our featured films.
